Iowa Storms: 9/6

iowa_shelf
Thunderstorms developed across western Iowa during the afternoon on September 6th. Although a pair of supercells began to show rotation, storms tended to merge into line segments into the evening. Severe thunderstorm reports were fairly sparse and it was another case of both Iowa and 2015 in general fairly to exceed expectations. Nonetheless, storms produced vivid lightning and striated shelf clouds were observed.
