A January Chase

NC_140111I took my first trip to North Carolina on January 11th to hopefully chase some storms.

It was a complex setup in an area not particularly friendly for chasing. An intense line segment moved through the Raleigh-Durham area with wind damage and I waited for those storms to continue moving east.

At the end of the day, it was a fun, spontaneous trip, but there wasn’t much to show for it. Above is a photo of an ominous-looking storm, although it wasn’t even producing anything severe.
