Affordable Lodging: Midwest, Plains
Storm chasing doesn’t have to be expensive! I have compiled a list of hotels and motels that are inexpensive, clean and comfortable across the Midwest and Plains. In order to make this list, the establishment must have have an average nightly rate of less than $85 (some are less than $50) per night and received 4 or 5-stars from my review on Yelp. I’ve stayed at dozens of hotels and only a select few have made this list. There’s no reason to skip chasing because of the worry of lodging costs, or blowing money on overly expensive hotels. Note that these are not luxury hotels, but instead places that you can crash at for a night and not have to worry about having a negative experience.
