Where Did I Chase in 2016?

This was my most active chase year with the most miles driven, tornadoes seen and chase days in a calendar year. The year started quickly with my first tornadoes coming on February 2nd in Mississippi and Alabama. The next few months were not particularly remarkable, but things heated up very quickly in late May. A storm chase near Dodge City, KS on May 24th was a career day with numerous tornadoes witnessed, including a few at close range. The following day featured another tornado chase in Kansas, but this time the storm was a single long-lived tornado in the northeastern portion of the state.

I continued to chase for the rest of the spring and summer, seeing additional tornadoes in June, August and September. I had the ability to go to Canada for the first time, including a storm chase there as well. Most of my summer was spent in the northern Plains and Upper Midwest, before I officially moved to Oklahoma City, effectively settling down for the fall and winter months.
